Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 7 in China under the new ‘Redmi By Xiaomi’ branding. The main highlight of the smartphone is that it comes with a 48-megapixel dual rear camera setup and packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. It also sports a waterdrop notch display, being the first smartphone from Xiaomi to feature such display. Despite having these excellent features, the smartphone will also be available at an affordable price point.
The Redmi note 7 comes with the price tag of 999 Yuan(approx. Rs.10,400) for 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant, 1,199 Yuan(approx. Rs.12,500) for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant and 1,399 Yuan(approx. Rs.14,600) for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. It will be available in Twilight Gold, Bright Black, and Fantasy Blue colour options and will go on sale from 15th of January.
Display & Camera:
The smartphone comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ LTPS display with the screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 450 nits brightness and 84% NTSC colour gamut. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Coming to the camera, the Redmi Note 7 is equipped with a dual camera
The Redmi Note 7 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes in 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB RAM and storage options. The storage can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C. The device runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie and is backed up by 4000mAh battery with the support of Quick Charge 4.
