Xiaomi has launched the much-awaited flagship smartphone in India named as Mi MIX 2 on Tuesday, the successor of last year’s Mi MIX. The Mi MIX 2 was previously launched in China last month.The 5.99-inch bezel-less display is the highlight of this flagship smartphone with 18:9 aspect ratio.It is priced at Rs.35,999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart and Mi.com as a preview sale on October 17th at 12 noon.The general availability of smartphone will be from November first week through Mi.com, Flipkart, Mi Home and offline retail partners.As a launch offer, you can buy Mi MIX 2 for zero percent EMI option.
The smartphone comes with four sides curved ceramic body with Aluminium frame.It sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with the screen resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio.It is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU.It comes with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB onboard storage which cannot be further expanded since there is no microSD card slot.It has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 sensor with aperture f/2.0, 4-axis OIS(Optical Image Stabilisation), PDAF on the rear.For taking selfies there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with beauty modes and also supports facial recognition function.
On the software front, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.1 with Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 9 on top.It is a Dual sim smartphone with 4G VoLTE support.The other connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, USB Type-C.There is no 3.5mm headphone jack.Instead, you will get a USB Type-C to 3.5mm adapter to connect your headphones.The device also has a fingerprint sensor at the back.The Mi MIX 2 is backed up by 3400mAh battery and supports Quick charge 3.0.
